Mealboard also features a recipe database. Built in are about three dozen recipes, featuring meals from breakfast till dinner. The app makes it easy to add your own recipes. Once you’ve added a recipe, all you need to do is add that meal to your planner and all the ingredients for that meal will be conveniently added to your grocery shopping list.
Here’s how to use Mealboard to plan your meals and grocery list.
Step 1: Begin Adding a Meal
Upon starting up the app, you’ll be presented with your calendar with all your future meals planned out. If it’s your first time, your calendar will be empty. To add your first meal, click the plus button in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Select Your Meal
Choose which category of meals you’re eating. You can click “All” to see all the recipes you have in all categories.
Then select the specific meal you’re interested in scheduling.

This will bring up a screenfull of options for you.
If you should add your recipes to your recipe box, this recipe will then be stored in your online AllRecipes account. You’ll be able to access this recipe box from any digital device, including your phone and your computer. Think of it as your save folder for recipes.
If you add the recipe to your shopping list, the ingredients from this recipe will be conveniently added to your grocery list. This makes shopping for the things you need a whole lot easier.
Finally, you have the share buttons. You can share the recipe via email, Facebook or Twitter.
Step 4: Add to Recipe List
If you choose the “Add to Recipe List” option, this is what you’ll see.
You can select what category you want to put your recipes in. Sorting your recipes by category makes planning meals easier, as you can just view all your recipes in that group.
Step 5: Add to Shopping List
If you add the ... to quickly pull up all the sardine recipes in AllRecipes’ database.
