...  Needed: ½ kilo squash cut in small cubes 1/8 kilo ground pork 1 pc red bell pepper cut in small cubes 1 pc onion chopped 1 tbsp garlic minced 2 tbsp cooking oil 1 cup water Salt and ground pepper to taste Directions: In a pan, sauté the garlic, bell pepper and onion then add the pork. Cook until the ground pork turns light brown. Pour in the water and bring it boil. Put in the cubes of squash. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, long enough to cook the squash but don’t overcook. Special Bagoong (sautéed shrimp paste with pork)

...  Needed: 2 cups shrimp paste ½ kilo pork cut into bite size 3 to 5 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp red chili pepper chopped 2 tbsp cooking oil 2 tbsp garlic minced pepper powder to taste Directions: In a frying pan heat the cooking oil and sauté the garlic. Put in the pork and cook until it turns golden brown. Mix the shrimp paste and simmer for 1o to 15 minutes. Add the sugar, chili and pepper powder to taste, stir. Cook until it is sticky.
