... Needed:
½ kilo pork belly, cut into bite size
5 pcs string beans cut into two inches long
1 cup squash cubed
4 pcs okra sliced
1 pc of medium bitter melon sliced
2 pcs eggplant sliced
5 cloves garlic minced
2 pcs onions sliced
2 pcs tomatoes sliced
5 tbsp cooked shrimp paste (bagoong)
1 cup water
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 cup of tomato ketchup or tomato paste
1 pack of pork rind (chitcharon)
Salt and ground pepper to taste
Directions:
Saute garlic, onion and tomatoes. Put in the pork belly and stir fry until cooked. Add the shrimp paste and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Put in the okra, squash, eggplant and bitter melon; simmer for 3 to 5 minutes over a low heat. Pour the water and let it boil. 1 kilo pork kasim (shoulder part) or pork belly cut into cubes
1 head garlic crushed
1 cup pineapple juice
5 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp peppercorn
5 pcs of star anise
½ cup dried banana blossoms
2 cups tomato paste
1 cups water
¼ cup soy sauce
Salt to taste
Directions:
In a casserole, boil the pork. Put in the garlic, peppercorn and star anise. Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes over a low fire or until pork is tender. Add the tomato paste and pineapple juice, stir occasionally. Add the dried banana blossoms, salt and sugar. Put in the soy sauce and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Best serve with hot steam rice.

½ kilo pork cut into serving pieces
5 pcs ripe tomatoes sliced
2 pcs onion sliced
3 pcs white radish sliced
1 bundle mustard leaves
2 cups tomato paste
5 cups water
2 tbsp patis or fish sauce
2 tbsp tamarind powder
Salt to taste
Directions:
In a pot, boil the water together with pork, tomatoes and onion for 5 to 10 minutes. Add the tomato paste and tamarind powder. Simmer until the pork is tender. When the pork is tender add the sliced radish and put in patis or salt to taste. Simmer for another 2 to 3 minutes. Add the mustard leaves and remove from the heat. Cover and let simmer for a while.

Ingredients Needed:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion
1 sweet red pepper
2 cloves garlic
28 oz can tomato sauce
28 oz can tomatoes
6 oz can tomato paste
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon basil
3 tablespoons sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Whole wheat or regular lasagna noodles
1 cup parmesan
1 pound mozzarella
Also, keep on hand large skillet, large cooking spoon, cutting board, sharp knife or food chopper, can opener, large pot, lasagna pan and foil.
Serves: Makes approximately 8 servings
Directions:
Step 1: Brown the Ground Beef
Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Brown until cooked all the way through. Drain off fat.
Step 2: Prepare and Cook the Vegetables
Cut the onion and pepper into small pieces, using a sharp knife or food chopper. If you like a chunkier lasagna, you can use larger pieces. Mince the garlic.
Add the onion, pepper and garlic to the ground beef and continue to cook, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Cook the Sauce
Now you can get ready to prepare the sauce. Open the cans of tomato sauce and tomato paste and place in a large pot. Open the can of tomatoes, and run a knife back and forth inside the can several times to break the tomatoes into smaller piece. Add the tomatoes to the pot.
Transfer the meat mixture to the tomato mixture and start heating over medium high heat, stirring occasionally. Add the oregano, basil and sugar. Add salt and pepper to taste.
