Tinolang Tahong (Ginger Mussels)

Ingredients Needed:

1 kilo of cleaned tahong or mussels

1 ½ cup of Sprite soda

2 thumbs of ginger crushed

2 pcs onions sliced

1 head of garlic crushed

3 tbsp cooking oil

Salt and pepper powder to taste

Directions:

In a wok, heat the cooking oil. Sauté the garlic, onion and ginger, and the mussels to simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Pour in the soda and boil for 5 to 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper powder to taste. Remove from heat.

Serve and enjoy your mussels cooked in ginger mussels or tinolang tahong in Tagalog!
