Dinuguan is the root word for dugo, which means blood, as in the main ingredient for this recipe. Dinuguan is made from pork blood, pork meat and pork intestine. Another ingredient is vinegar which adds a bit of tartness and green long peppers to add additional flavor.

A perfect match for this stew is Puto or white rice cake. This dish is always present if there is an occasion like birthday, fiesta and etc. It can be either a snack or a main dish.
