Obviously you don’t want to feed your family Bat Wings. However, you can make a pretty good fake Bat Wing by using chicken wings. This appetizer can be as tame, creepy speaking, as you like or you can ramp it up and make it spookier, too.
Note, these will be messy if you use the food coloring. If you leave it out, the wings won’t be as black…but neither will be your family’s mouths and fingers.
Ingredients Needed:
1/4 cup oyster sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup black bean sauce
1 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon black gel food coloring (optional)
20 whole chicken wings with the tips intact
Directions:
Start the sauce for the Bat Wings by combining all of the ingredients except the chicken wings in a medium bowl. Whisk these together until they are well-combined. Separate 1/3 of the sauce mixture and set it aside.

... Needed:
3 pcs tofu cake, sliced into thin pieces
1 cup cooking oil
4 tbsp oyster sauce
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp garlic crushed
2 tbsp spring onion minced
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
In a plate, season the sliced tofu with a pinch of salt and ground black pepper. Let it stand for 3 to 5 minutes.
In a frying pan, heat the cooking oil and deep fry the tofu until it turns to light brown and crispy. Remove from heat. Place into paper towel to absorb excess oil. Set aside.
Heat a sauce pan with oil, Sauté garlic until it slightly toasted over a low heat. Put in the oyster sauce and water. Let it simmer for a while. Add the spring onions and ground pepper to taste, mix. Place the crispy tofu in a serving plate and pour the oyster sauce. Best serve with garlic rice and scrambled eggs.

1/2 cup oyster sauce
1 tablespoon Asian (toasted) sesame oil
1/2 cup sherry or white wine
3 tablespoons light soy sauce
1-1/2 teaspoons palm sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1-1/4 pounds beef round steak, cut into 1/8-inch thick strips
1/4 cup and 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, plus more if needed
1-1/2 thin slice of fresh ginger root (optional)
1-1/2 shallots, sliced
1-1/2 pounds broccoli, cut into florets
Directions:
Combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sherry, and sesame oil in a bowl.
Put in the meat and thoroughly mix with ingredients in the bowl. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Put the broccoli in a casserole bowl, add a tablespoon of water, cover, then microwave for 6 minutes. You can also steam the broccoli over a stove.
Slice the shallots, and grate the palm sugar. You can also use white sugar.

5 pcs extra firm tofu
1 pc medium carrot, strips
1 bundle green bean, sliced
2 onions sliced
5 cloves garlic chopped
2 pcs tomatoes sliced
5 tbsp oyster sauce
Salt and ground pepper to taste
Cooking oil for frying
Directions:
In a container, place your tofu and season with salt and pepper to taste for 3 to 5 minutes. Deep fry the tofu until it turns to golden brown. After frying, cut it into cubes. Set aside.
In a sauce pan, heat the oil. Saute garlic, tomatoes and onion, add the veggie, stir. Put in the oyster sauce. Simmer for a minute. Add the fried tofu, stir carefully. Place in a serving bowl.
